The winners of the 2007 Brunel Run Prize were
Tina and Andrew Hounsom

The tie-breaker (for those who got 100% on the Walking Quiz)
was to draw a bridge that Brunel would have enjoyed.
It was not a drawing contest - just a design for any river or railway crossing - humourous or serious.

Hi Helene,

Just wanted to say thank you ever so much to you and all the other event organisers. It was amazing that even Mr. Brunel himself managed to resurrect himself from the dead and come along.

It must have been a huge amount of organising, the run itself was great and it was a shame that me and Nicky had to rush off but she said she had really enjoyed it too and would like to come on some more runs. Next time I would love to come for the whole weekend and who knows my then wife might even come along!

Anyway I’m sure you’ll sleep very well tonight and thanks again for all your efforts. I’m not sure we’ll be around for the next club night or Sunday lunch run but hope to make the one on the 21st October. Who knows, might have some wedding photos to show you by then hopefully.

Hi All,

Neil and I wanted to thank you all for your hard work, we had wonderful time last weekend.

Special thanks for the Koala Bear. Ideal gift for our first Grandchild due in February and also for the Mike Meek BGTAward. It will be treasured always.

A little photo of our illustrious Regional Secretary taken the morning after .......

Kind Regards,
Trisha & Neil

Excellent run and breakfast! For us the main reasons for the weekend! Good venue.

George and Margaret

Superb as always. A great new venue. You have seamlessly made the transition from Woodhouse to Barton keeping all the best parts of Brunel with improved, added facilities. Congratulations to you all for all the hard work and planning which has resulted in one of the best events for years. Roll on 2008!

Tim and Georgie Hipwell - Exeter

Excellent venue. Excellent breakfast. Entertainment Saturday evening - two rooms no good! Need live act for about 1-1.5 hours then open two rooms with background music. Everyone then can have a chat.

Penny and Mark Neale - Bristol

First time we've done it. Loved it! Fantastic organisation, entertainment and food. Thank you.

Alex and Miranda Hathaway and kids

Great! Love the new venue.
