The 15th Brunel Run (2008) took place despite the weather and a full report of a great weekend will appear here soon!

First though, some important THANK YOUs:

  • To Penny Neale and Lynne Powell who volunteered to cook our magnificent celebratory meal. It made our 15th Brunel Run very special.
  • To Mark Neale who rose so well to the challenge of Saturday evening's entertainment.
  • To Bert Hurditch who arranged, once again, for us to use the fantastic facilities at Barton Camp.
  • To the BAMGOC committee members who each bought their very individual and special talents together to produce another terrific weekend.
  • To those who generously supported the raffle both by donating prizes and buying tickets. For those who are interested, the leather items donated came from: www.theleatherbriefcase.co.uk
  • To Butcombe Brewery for the loan of Brunel himself for the weekend.

We just wanted to send you a quick note to say a big thank you for all the hard work that everyone does for the Brunel Run. You have proved that the weather is incidental, it is the people that make the weekend, and you certainly did!!!

We think this year's Brunel was the best yet, the weather
made everyone congregate in one place, not spread out indoors and outside by their tents.

The meal on Saturday night, well what can we say? The cooks surpassed themselves!!! The waiting staff more accomplished than at many a supposed 'good restaurant'.

Is it too early to book for next year's event? Well, pencil us in anyway!

lol
Fiona & John Lindemann

Just a note to say a really big thank you for all of your hard work at the weekend (and we are sure many weekends leading up to the event!)

Having organised events on a much smaller scale for the sailing club we appreciate quite how much goes on behind the scenes.

We really enjoyed the weekend, and were really pleased that we could be included even without an MG.

Thanks again, and see you soon.
James & Tracey Woods

Just wanted to say thanks again for making us so welcome over the weekend; Chris has gone back to college today with several photos to remind him!

I'll look out for the alert for next year's event, we'd definitely like to come again if the dates work for us.

All the best,
Steve Morton
Neil and I wanted to thank all your committee for their hard work We really enjoyed ourselves again this year and will see you next year !!!
We are aware of all the hard work that goes on during the year and the actual weekend. we were very impressed with the wonderful dinner on Saturday.
Thank you also for our Salver we won for Best Chrome Bumper GT.

Kindest regards,
Neil and Trish Room-Doubleday
