MSA CLASSIC
Sunday, October 03, 2010 -

Organised by the Motor Sports Association, this year's event takes place on Sunday 3rd October and offers starting locations at Andover, Castle Combe, Dorking, Norwich, Nottingham and Rockingham Circuit. All routes feature dramatic and picturesque countryside and offer some of the best driving roads in Britain.

The run which starts at Castle Combe is approx 170 miles and includes:

  • Start from Castle Combe Circuit (please note that noise regs at Castle Combe mean that all cars must be silenced to 100dba to drive laps of the circuit)
  • Williams F1 Grand Prix Collection, Grove
  • Porsche Experience Centre, Silverstone
  • 306th Bombardment Group Museum, Thurleigh
  • Finish at Rockingham International Super Sports Car Circuit

The run is intended as a fun event and is wholly non-competitive. There are no timings or penalties for not following the supplied route and participants are free to travel at their own pace. Each route will contain a number of check points which will be open for a specified period. Check points have been chosen to be of specific interest to the motoring and motor sport enthusiast in addition to venues of more general interest.

The finish venue is at Rockingham Circuit, Europe's fastest banked oval racing circuit. All participants will have the chance to drive parade laps of the 1.9 mile International Super Sports Car Circuit, the perfect end to the day. Ample grandstand seating will allow participants, friends and family to watch the MSA Classic finish ceremony.

The event is open to cars built before 31st December 1989.

Entry Fee is £125.00. This includes the following:

  • Full route instructions in a 'tulip' style route book
  • Vehicle Identification Plate
  • Passes for the number of people in your vehicle
  • Free entry to check point venues
  • Driving time at the motor sport venues visited
