As many will appreciate, the costs of putting on an event of this scale have risen significantly. This year our infrastructure costs were considerably higher, while visitor numbers were lower than hoped due to ongoing pressures on household budgets and an increasingly busy events calendar. Dig For Victory is also organised by a small voluntary team, balancing the show alongside work and family commitments. With this in mind, we have decided to take a break in 2027. This will give us time to recharge and review how we can make the show as financially sustainable and resilient as possible for the future.
