MGCC SW Centre Production Car Trial 2025

A Production Car Trial will be organised, once again at Dundry near Bristol. This is a great field for this type of event with various grassy slopes that can be utilised to make a great day’s sport. MG Car Club 95th Anniversary Open Day
The MG Car Club will be opening the doors of Kimber House, the Club’s historic headquarters in Abingdon, on Sunday 12th October from 10.00am – 4.00pm to mark its 95th anniversary.
Visitors are welcome to drop in at any time throughout the day to explore the Club’s on-site memorabilia, browse the archive, and visit the Club shop. For those who wish to get behind the wheel of their MG, a souvenir programme will be available, which inside will have driving routes published offering the chance to retrace some of the famous factory test routes in the Abingdon area.
For anyone who has yet to visit Abingdon – the birthplace of MGs between 1929 and 1980 – this is an ideal opportunity to experience its unique heritage.

CLUB RUN
Pete Cannard has organised a joint run for BAMGOC and the Oily Feathers (the classic car group from the Bristol Savages) starting from The Two Rivers, Chepstow. NP16 5PR
Breakfasts and tea/coffee are available from 7.00 a.m. The run starts at 10.00 a.m. After approximately 1˝ hours there is a coffee stop with free parking for an hour. Lunch is booked for 1.30 p.m.
We will need to make our lunch choices beforehand but Pete will contact you with the menu nearer the time as the pub is changing to their Autumn Menu before the run and it is not available yet!
Pete is currently reserving 10 spaces for each group but this may be adjusted depending on demand so don’t delay in getting your name down if you want to go. Please let us know at events.bamgoc@gmail.com by 1 October.

Lunch at Oakham Treasures
The idea is to have lunch in their cafe which is outside the pay barrier and then, those who would like to, can explore one of the largest privately owned museums of retail and farming history in the UK. There is an eclectic mix of exhibits from items that were found in shops in years gone by and also tractors, toys, cars and much more. We can guarantee that you will say “I remember one of those” many times during your visit!
