Autumn Run 2018
We're really sorry but due to councils putting forward proposals to close and/or restrict motorised vehicles on rural roads in our area, it has proved impossible to plan a route for our Autumn Run that is not on continuous main roads. There have also been challenging encounters on some of the lanes and we don't want to expose people to that sort of confrontation. Some of these plans have been prompted by Covid19 social distancing requirements and so, by 2022 we hope that things will have settled down and these proposals will either have been abandoned or made clearer so planning a route will be possible. Whilst, as some of you are aware, North Somerset District Council has temporarily withdrawn its plans due to local opposition, it still intends to bring them up again in a slightly amended form. We have heard that other councils have similar campaigns in mind and we cannot do a daily check on the websites of every council area we plan to drive through to ensure that their roads will be open in September. It is with much regret therefore that we are postponing our Autumn Run until 2022. All cheques received so far have been returned.
